Training

DOT, FTA and FAA Drug and Alcohol Training Online

Transportation employers face federal training rules that differ by mode: FMCSA for commercial drivers, FTA for transit, FAA for aviation and PHMSA for hazardous materials. PixelPupil has a separate course for each rule, written to that rule's own requirements, including the 60-minute alcohol and 60-minute drug parts for supervisors.

Your organization still supplies its own policy, designated employer representative, testing arrangements and records. Courses are available in English and Spanish at $11.95 per course credit.

Transportation and DOT courses

How these courses work. Each course is general training based on the rules described on its page. They are not approved or endorsed by any government agency, they do not by themselves make an organization compliant, and the certificate is a record of completion. Your organization still provides its own policies, procedures and records. PixelPupil does not provide trainers: your organization names its own trainer or HR contact in PixelPupil, and learners use Ask the Trainer inside a course.

Do supervisors take the employee course too?

For FTA and FAA programs, supervisors also take the employee course and then the supervisor course. Check your own program and rules for the details.

Are these courses approved by DOT, FTA or FAA?

No. They are general training for the rules described on each page, not approved or endorsed by any agency, and they do not make a program compliant by themselves.
