Who it's for
Supervisors and other people who decide on reasonable-suspicion testing for employers of commercial drivers.
The rules
FMCSA rules (49 CFR 382.603) require supervisors who decide on reasonable-suspicion testing to receive at least 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and an additional 60 minutes on controlled substance use. The rule asks for the training once; recurrent training is not required.
At least 60 minutes on alcohol misuse indicators
At least 60 minutes on controlled substance use indicators
Training records while the person supervises, plus two years
The course contains more than 120 minutes of narrated lessons. It is general training for the FMCSA rules and is not approved by FMCSA.
The course
The course is built in modules, each with short lessons, real-world scenarios and quizzes. Here is what each module is for.
Module 1
For supervisors and managers, this opening module builds basic reasonable suspicion judgment through practice, helping you recognize when a workplace situation needs closer consideration.
Module 2
Move from recognizing a concern to deciding how to respond. Supervisors and managers practice applying reasonable suspicion training to realistic workplace decisions.
Module 3
Extend your judgment through another set of reasonable suspicion situations. Practice evaluating what you encounter and deciding whether the circumstances support a response.
Module 4
Connect the earlier learning through more demanding applications. Supervisors and managers practice making consistent decisions when reasonable suspicion situations do not fit a simple pattern.

Yes. Every PixelPupil course is available in English and in Spanish, with Spanish narration (the Spanish title is Capacitación sobre Sospecha Razonable para Supervisores (DOT/FMCSA)).
No course can do that on its own. This is general training based on the rules described on this page. It is not approved or endorsed by any government agency, and the certificate is a record that the person completed the course. Your organization still provides its own policies, procedures and records, and you should check the rules that apply to you with your own advisor.
