The rules
CMS long-term care requirements (42 CFR 483.95, 483.85 and 483.12) and section 1150B of the Social Security Act cover staff training on resident rights, abuse, neglect and exploitation, compliance and ethics, and reporting crimes within set times. Facilities report an allegation within two or 24 hours depending on the situation.

The course
The course is built in modules, each with short lessons, real-world scenarios and quizzes. Here is what each module is for.
Module 1
Begin your nursing facility compliance and resident abuse prevention learning by connecting the subject with everyday care and considering how your choices affect others.
Module 2
Everyday situations become opportunities to practice judgment in this module. You examine challenges, recognize concerns, and decide how the introductory ideas apply in context.
Module 3
When situations demand a response, draw on the earlier modules to consider your choices and practice acting on concerns rather than merely recognizing them.
Module 4
Across the final module, connect individual decisions with the larger workplace context and identify where further learning will help you apply the course.
