The rules
The Clery Act (34 CFR 668.41, 668.46 and 668.49), as amended by VAWA and the Stop Campus Hazing Act, requires institutions to report crime statistics, issue alerts and publish annual reports. The regulation requires annual training only for officials who conduct disciplinary proceedings (668.46(k)(2)(ii)), not for campus security authorities.

The course
The course is built in modules, each with short lessons, real-world scenarios and quizzes. Here is what each module is for.
Module 1
Your Clery Act and VAWA learning opens with a broad campus perspective. Establish the basics and recognize how the subject connects with workplace decisions.
Module 2
Through realistic campus situations, develop your ability to consider a problem from different angles before choosing a response grounded in the course concepts.
Module 3
Closer judgment becomes the focus as you apply earlier learning to more demanding cases, compare options, and decide how to respond in context.
Module 4
To complete the learning path, connect the campus perspective with your own decisions and consider how additional workplace instruction will extend what you learned.

No course can do that on its own. This is general training based on the rules described on this page. It is not approved or endorsed by any government agency, and the certificate is a record that the person completed the course. Your organization still provides its own policies, procedures and records, and you should check the rules that apply to you with your own advisor.
